Our Mission
Our goal is to provide constant and compassionate outreach to individuals with disabilities. Through this ministry we strive to meet each individuals physical, social & spiritual needs. All the while being the hands and feet of Jesus to those we serve.
Our History
In 1967 After hearing the testimony of Alfred Bonsignore on a christian radio station, Bob Grant reached out to him. Both men where physically impaired and shared a passion for those who are affected by disabilities. Together they formed an organization to meet the physical, spiritual and social needs of people with disabilities and called it “Overcomers”. The inspiration for the name came from the Bible Verse: 1 John 5:4
“…for everyone born of God overcomes the world.”
In 1977 “Overcomers” was incorporated under New Jersey laws (and approved under IRS regulations) as a non-profit [501 (c) (3)] organization called “The Christian Overcomers, Inc.” Each Board member knew Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and had a genuine concern and commitment for people with disabilities.
That is still the case today.

Debbie has been with Christian Overcomers for 31 years. She holds a strong passion and love for those that we serve and it shows in the relationships & bonds that she has built with our campers over the years.
Apryllee DelConte
Development Coordinator & Interim Chairman of the Board
Apryllee Has volunteered with Overcomers since she was 9 years old. Tagging along with her mom who was a volunteer for many years. She has served in several capacities over the years including: Volunteer at camp, events, individual companion and camp intern. She has a heart for those with disabilities and seeks to continue to develop this ministry for years to come.

Lenny has been with Christian Overcomers about 30 years as both a camp and coffee house volunteer and the last 3-4 years also as a Board member. Len currently is the Treasurer and records all the monthly accounting and bookkeeping transactions for Overcomers.

Iris has been a volunteer with Overcomers for 20 years. She has served in our camp ministry and at various other events.
Sherry Eastwood
Board Member
Sherry is an RN and has been volunteering with Overcomers since she was a college student. She has served as camp nurse and continues her ministry by advising the board.
